We finally noticed what was in front of us all along. We thought, “Why not combine our lifetime love affair with the natural world with our intense desire to stop working for the “man” and enter into the fabled world of the entrepreneur?”.

In retrospect, it was a no brainer to start Cool Planet. We are a nation of consumers, and globally the consumer mentality has spread like an infection. Therefore, if we’re going to consume anyway, why not consume products that actually reduce the amount of waste in our landfills, limit the exploitation of our fragile environment, provide us with a more healthful living, and allow us to live and look good, while doing good in the process? Why not buy products with purpose...That was the genesis of Cool Planet.

Since that faithful day we have labored for long hours over countless nights to find the most innovative, trendsetting, renewable, recycled/recyclable, eco-conserving products currently produced. We believe that most people are concerned about the negative impact on the environment and the catastrophe that will surely follow should we fail to heed natures warning signs and act in a more responsible way.

In the past, choosing green typically meant using products that made you smell like someone dipped you in incense; wearing white gym socks underneath bulky and less-than-flattering “nature-friendly” sandals; pulling on giant, flowing pants that in a strong wind could lift you into the stratosphere like the "Flying Nun"; or placing some bizarre bio-art made of old beans and seeds on your walls. Not to say that there is anything wrong with those of you who endured all of that for the sake of our environment, but you need not suffer any longer. Help is on the way.
